For those 20/30 & 40 something alternative music fans out there who are looking for a reasonably cheap night out dancing, could do worse than checking out a wee club called Maggie Mays at the Trongate in Glasgow. Its only £2 a drink and £5 entry or if your lucky enough to catch the pr girl on the corner then get yourself a free pass. Inside Maggie's its magic surroundings with comy leather sofas, a good size dancefloor, chatty bar staff, and Internal view of Maggie Mays restaurant Glasgowfor a change a clean toilet, but its the music thats the winner, great tunes from the 70s right through to the now, The clash, Pistols, Primal Scream, Dead Kennedys and The Stones Roses to mention a few, and the DJ, if you speak to her nicely will even take requests. Admittedly the club is still in its early days so it wasn't as busy as it should have been but hopefully once those alternative clubbers who are fed up of crap saturday night TV and the nonsense metal nights at the Cathouse get to know of this place they'll pop along and check Maggie Mays out. Its apparently open 7 nights a week for bands and club nights so go on and be a devil and live your teenage years again for a few hours.
