Perv in the Park

Christ, is it just me who is horrified by the beast Ryan Yates who knifed a Gran in a park so that he could get to her two granddaughters, aged 8 and 2, so that he could rape them. I reckon its worse that this bastard has admitted it and seems to be quite proud of his actions. People like Yates dont deserve to live at the expense of the taxpayer. This beast is a prime example for the death penalty or at the very least a very painful removal of his balls and letting loose in the ordinary population of prison. Rape and torture should be dealt out on a regular basis to this sicko and no using of the law in stating he is sick in the head and shouldnt be prosecuted. I dont care how sick he is. Jail him and let it all happen to him. Turn a blind eye. Well done to the wee Granny, just a pity she didnt carve him up while she was at it. I read the court are deferring sentence for reports. Reports, what the bloody hell do they need reports on. Jail the bastard and let him rot in agony.

Police madness - PC Shiny Buttons

PC Shiny Buttons and his madness as an over-zealous officer of the so-called law. What a prat. Imagine having the audacity to issue a fine to a motorist for blowing his nose whilst stationary in a queue of traffice.

Is it any wonder that a large number of the ordinary man has little faith in the Police force ? I think not. Its coppers like PC Stuart Gray that are making this attitude from the public worse and their attitude to their errors, or lack of admittance to error, is increasing public anger.

THe driver of the vehicle is correct to refuse to pay the fine, and in a normal democratic country one would think that the powers that be, the prosecutors in law. But no. In their wisdom, they are supporting PC Shiny Buttons with their chase of the fine and upholding the law as dealt out by the Police Force of Scotland.

What makes this worse is in the same paper, the story of other Police Officers being let off with a slap on the wrist, not even that, for causing an accident with an Ambulance whilst driving recklessly and at high speeds. This is irresponsible madness and if this had been a member of the public, they would surely have been imprisoned. They are lucky the paramedics in the vehicle were not killed or more seriously injured. And what about the time spent cutting the coppers out of the police vehicle.

Crown lawyers are sailing dangerously close to allowing the Police free reign to terrorise the public and no matter what they do, they have the support of the Crown. A bad day indeed for the Police.

Margo MacDonald - Assisted Suicide Bill

So Margo MacDonald MSP, who has Parkinson's disease, has put forward a bill to make it legal for someone to seek help in ending their life. At the moment, its not illegal to commit suicide in Scotland, but someone who assists can be charged with culpable homicide. The bill is to enable those who have a degenerative condition to ask a doctor to assist in helping them end their life.

The doctors, who are placed in an awful position, may refuse if they have reservations on religious or moral grounds.

Margo MacDonald said "This bill is meant to redress that unfairness to give those people the autonomy to exercise some control over how they die to give them the legal right to seek assistance and to protect the people who would give them assistance."

Im not sure how i feel about this as I can see how Margo is in a position and this is close to her heart, but i have an awful feeling that this could be a slippery slope which, if in law, could be challenged by those who are seeking to end th elife of relatives without their consent. I know thats not the point of the proposal, but challenges to law are often made. It would be horrendous to think that our old folk feel threatened by a law made in good faith, but the good faith of the lawmaker is easily altered through the self-serving greed of some individuals.

Im not sure if im against this or not, but im swaying in that direction. Pro-life groups are against it but i dont side with their relentless rallying against abortion and the women and doctors who abort. Discussion is required on assisted suicide and may clarify the proposal and put in place more robust safeguards for those who are in need of help.

Myleene Klass

I was reading about Myleen Klass and her brush with a couple of burglars/neds/whatever. They were staring at her through a window of her home and so she grabbed a knife and banged on the window to scare them off. After calling the police, she was informed by the officer that she could be charged with carrying an offensive weapon even in her own home!!

I am astonished at that as I thought that a home owner in this country could protect their property with some force. Bloody sure that if somebody appeared at my window and I felt threatened by their actions I would be prepared to kick the living shit out of them and have no qualms about it.

UFOs in Rouken Glen Park

The lights in the sky on Boxing Day were UFOs. I was in my garden in Giffnock when i saw them and the 2nd light started to come down slowly and silently. AS the sight was so amazing, i got in my car (sober by the way!!) and drove in the direction of the light. I followed what i thought was its path towards Eastwood toll. Anyway i thought i had lost it there so i stopped in the bus stop and got out of the car. I then heard a kind of whooshing sound which was loud but at the same was soft. It was a very weird noise. The sound seemed to be moving but i could see no lights so i got in my car again and with the window down, followed the noise. I dont know why none of the residents around Eastwood and the park but there seemed to be no interest from the locals. I drove down towards Rouken Glen Park where the sound was very loud and I parked near the entrance to the garden centre. In the park, i saw an orange glow on the ground but nothing in the sky above the light, which really creeped me out as there was nothing on the ground so i got back in the car and drove away as fast as possible. I decided to turn back as my curiosity was ablaze and so i went to the entrance at the lake. I went into the park through a hole in the fence and was terrified to see a large oblong object which seemed to deflect the light around it as was kind of fuzzy. Sorry, but that is the only way i can describe what i saw. It was a bit like a shape with no hard edge to surround it. Anyway, I was terrified by this time and could feel the craft nearby. It was making no sound but i felt it somehow pressed against my chest like when in the swimming pool or sea. It was a strange sensation and i was shaking with fear but could hardly not look. All i could see was this odd fuzzy oblong shape on the large open grass near the lake silently making some kind of sound or pressure i could feel. I dont mind saying, but i was shitting myself and so i ran to the fence, climbed it as i couldnt find the hole, which petrified me as all sorts were going through my mind. i was to scared to look back for fear of what was after me. I got in the car and drove. I havent actually spoken about what I saw as I think i must have been hallucinating. Anyway, i am now a believer.

Lights in the sky over Glasgow - Boxing Day and Hogmanay

My family and I were leaving my Mother in Law's house in East Kilbride on Boxing Day at around 21:00 hours and my son ( 5 years old ) looked up at the sky and noted 4 bright orange lights in the sky. They were bright, silent and moved at a uniform distance from each other.  They seemed to be remaining at the same height and were moving at a uniform speed. It was very strange.

Last night, Hogmanay, I saw a similar sight in the sky where I and my wife saw two orange lights. One was at a high altitude and the other was lower, but again they were silent and moving at a fair speed.

Im not saying these lights were UFOs, but it was a strange sight. I have heard of people getting Chinese lanterns, which are lit and then released, but not having seen these I am unable to comment.

Im sure the lights were not planes or helicopters as they only had one visible light, whereas aircraft of any type have a number of lights, though I am no expert.

Anyway, it was a strange sight and one that must have been witnessed by a large number of people across Glasgow.

Tsunami Boxing Day 2004

I have just sat through the programme about the Tsunami that struck on Boxing Day 2004. I recall the disaster and was affected by the loss of 250,000 lives, but this programme really brought home the horror of the Tsunami and the aftermath. Watching people talking about their experiences and their losses was nearly too much to bear. One couple had lost their 5 year old daughter and the sense of loss really permeated the programme and enabled the sense to permeate the viewer. The live footage of the rush of the sea from the beach made me remember the film Deep Impact, where after the sea draining away from the beach, the massive wave approached. I found myself shouting at the TV and willing those who were left meandering on the beach to RUN...! And when the wave approached, and hit, it was terrifying. Watching the footage of people clinging to whatever they could find and then being lost was sickening. And i felt for those who survived. The joy of survival, the impact of the loss of loved ones and at times, full families was heartfelt. But what really brought it home was the sense of guilt the survivors described. The guilt of survival. That is a horrendous thought that even once one survives the horrors faced, we live with the guilt of those who were lost is a subsequent disaster for those who lived.
